Womens Council of Realtors Southwest Riverside County Chapter, a not for profit organization, a 501© 6 is seeking contestants for the 2nd annual Temecula Valley Warrior Fundraiser. The event will take place Friday, February 17, 2012 at Pechanga Grand Ball Room, 6 pm to 9 pm. A portion of the net proceeds, will benefit the designated charity for 2012. The Grand Prize opportunity drawing ticket will receive a 7-day Carnival Cruise for 2, more details to follow. The winner of the Warriors, will receive a 4 day Carnival Cruise for 2. The Ways and Means Committee, is searching for competitive, dedicated and community oriented contestants to sell the most Temecula Valley calendars, calendar ads, souvenir journal ads, opportunity and dinner tickets. A talent section will be added as an optional requirement.
The calendar will be made up of 12 months of Temecula Valley Infrastructure, the committee will sell the monthly pages to selected local businesses, cities, chambers, school districts, hospitals, performing art centers, and wineries.(Known as our monthly business partners).
In other words, what makes Temecula Valley, the special gem in the haystack. The monthly business partners, will receive a full month page from top to bottom, 12x12 100 lb gloss sheet, a business coupon 1/8 page ad in the rear of the calendar and souvenir journal. Also, mentions at the Dinner and Award Ceremony. Also, an opportunity, to purchase additional calendars to resell to their clients at wholesale cost. Each month will cost $500, with a half good faith deposit taken at pre-ordering, and the balance due August 30, 2011. The businesses will have a calendar they will be happy to sell or hand to a potential client. They will also create their own ad, meet with the graphic designer, photographer, printer face to face,(Glenn Wurdemann, www.tvgphotostudios.com, 951-751-7540). A one stop marketing shop And they will be able to speak with someone when they have questions or concerns regarding their ad. The best part of all, as a business, this is cost effective to advertise their business at a reduced cost, and maintain a year long shelf life or more, and will be giving back to the community.
LOGISTICS:
Each contestant will complete the attached application and provide a $175 entry non refundable fee with $75 due at application and the balance due by September 15, 2011.
Provide an essay as to why you want to be considered a Warrior or Warriorette.
Provide proof of current community involvement, a recommendation letter or list of other events.
Be an outstanding citizen and have your business and license must be in good standing.
This event is open to the public.
A panel of 3 outside judges, will review the applications and choose 12 finalists.
All entrants will receive an ¼ pg ad in the souvenir journal, and the 12 finalists will receive 2 dinner tickets and 1/12 page ad in the rear of the calendar. A vendor table will be available at a reduced rate, with table cloth, chair and trash can for all entrants. Advertising your business within the community and local businesses, is worth its weight in gold.
Once the calendar months are sold, the finalists will be given sponsorship forms and begin to pre sell the wholesale calendars to the monthly partners, souvenir journal ads, opportunity and dinner tickets.
Points will be assigned for attendance future meetings as needed, meeting deadlines assigned, paying the entry fee on or before the due date, and assisting at events as needed.
The winner will be chosen:
Most overall points in all categories.
Most sales in all categories.
If a tie, a tiebreaker will be determined at a later date.
